A little message from Feli

Hi everybody !

Sorry if you didn't hear from me since over a week but I don't have internet access at the hospital. So far my little sister Clo has been my secretary and she forwarded all your messages to me, and now she's writing this little message to you. Thank you !
Last week has been a little intense : I have lost the use of my legs and I've had surgery in emergency on my spinal cord. The tumors were compressing it, so they had (the surgeons) to remove pieces of 4 of my vertebrae to let the spinal cord free of any pressure. Hopefully my legs should start moving again in 3-4 weeks, then I'll start to learn how to walk again.
I should start the chemotherapy next week for about 2 months and a half, then followed by the big surgery consisting in removing the tumors and 3 ribs. After the surgery, chemo again for a little while.
It's not always easy to deal with the pain but my family is really supportive and they are taking a great care of me !
And thank you so much to all of you for your support and love ! I've heard that the party of the 23 rd at the Shorebreak, RI has been a success ! I hope that you had a great time. I've seen photos and received T-Shirts ! They are awesome !
Special thanks and love to Matt, Dawn, Az, Karl, Drew, Sarah (S and C), Stu and Amy for organizing everything and helping with the party !
Big thank you to Chiva Bus and the Shorebreak as well !
It's amazing all the work you have been doing in such a short time ! Thank you tons !
I'll keep you updated with little messages that my sister and parents (and soon Matt !) will send for me on the blog and facebook.
Love and Bisous,

Feli

Thank you!!!

Thank you to everyone who donated, made it out to the event, and boogied with us on Feli's behalf on Sunday (Nov. 23rd). A huge shout out to the Shorebreak for donating their awesome space. Huge love to Chiva Bus for not only donating their time and tunes but for playing two shows in one weekend, and for playing Feli's favorite Chakira song TWICE!!! Thanks to the generous support and love of Feli's friends and our local community, we raised over $3,500 for Feli and her family! While the night was filled with good vibes, great dancers, and loads of raffle prizes, it was missing one thing: FELI. But we carried her with us out on the dance floor and she remains in our thoughts and prayers. Stay strong, Feli, we love you!!
